"What I see in Snapshot A are that there are more decreased positions than increased positions last quarter, I wonder how much of that is just folks satisfying redemption requirements because of the general market retracement, as opposed to selling because they don’t see potential. I have no way of knowing for sure, but the thought makes me want to dig deeper. So I looked more closely at the number of shares involved just to the right of the column "# Of Holders" and I see that even though the number of holders with decreased positions is higher than the number with increased positions, the number of shares involved with the increased positions is much greater, actually four times greater, than the shares involved with decreased positions. So despite the stock price falling last quarter, there was a net increase of institutions buying shares of the stock by three times greater than selling (three times instead of four after factoring in new and sold out positions as well). Does this make sense? This is actually the first time I've tried to assimilate what those numbers really mean." from Greg's post dated March 5, 2009
