hi I' back
Dear JoAnn, John, Carl, and Jack,
What a great job you did! I very much enjoyed reading the postings in this hall. Thank you so very much for participating! Sincerely, Adrienne
I'd like to thank Martha for putting this case study together. I think I learned a lot about researching and have gained a different perspective on the whys and why not's of trading.
I'd like to thank JoAnn for carrying the torch over the finish line for us. We fell down a little in the end as a group. At least I did.
And, I'd like to thank A. for keeping things moving and working to faciliate the groups. (and for correcting my spelling?)

SPINNING TOP STUDY HALL - WEEK 5 REVIEW
I have answered John's questions in the DME and will ask Adrienne to post here so all can see. The global recession is changing everything and we can no longer think of oil at $120 as the trigger for Alternative Energy interest. Oil may not reach that level for a decade or longer.
The attitude of the global community is turning against oil and all industries that have huge speculative booms die at some point. The US Steel industry is a wonderful example.
That being said, I agree somewhat with John that rushing to buy a solar company stock is not the best decision right now. There is plenty of work to do for all solar companies and the industry is still young and working on major issues.
You did a fine job during the entire Case Study and worked diligently. I appreciated the debates which added to the learning process.
Martha
